Sessanta, Mer de Noms and the Art Behind the Designs

· Style & Merch

Our A Perfect Circle designs fall into two families: the crescent logo and album art, and a wall of tour posters from Sessanta. Here's what's on them, so you can find the piece that fits you.

What is Sessanta?

Sessanta is Italian for sixty. In spring 2024, we toured the US with Puscifer and Primus to celebrate Maynard James Keenan's 60th birthday, from Boston on April 2 to Forest Hills Stadium in New York on May 4. The show came back in 2025 as Sessanta V2.0.

The tour posters

Almost every stop got its own poster art, and many of our designs carry it:

  • Boston Cats: three snarling turquoise cats for the opening night.
  • Phoenix Hydra: a three-headed sea serpent for April 17, Keenan's birthday.
  • Hollywood Bowl: a robot, an alien and a skeleton holding up a heart made of skulls.
  • Hail Sessanta Red Rocks: three horned girls and Japanese lines that wish a happy birthday.
  • The Story of Sessanta: three screaming heads melting like birthday candles.

Several designs add the date and venue on the back, and Sessanta 2024 Dates lists every city on the spring run.

The crescent and the albums

For a quieter look, start with the logo. Crescent is the classic orange crescent behind the wordmark. Mer de Noms rings it with red glyphs, 13th Glow nods to Thirteenth Step, and eMOTIVe sets a cracked peace sign over a burning city.

The strange ones

Frosty Dolphin sends dolphins swimming through a snowy forest, 8 Bit turns the band into pixel art, and Moon Phases looks like an old star chart.

One design, every garment

Each design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, with kids' and youth sizes too, and a size chart on every product page.
